Instantly! Discover Your List of Life Goals in Less than 20 Mins.

Imagine it's three days after Christmas. You are sitting in front of your favorite window, holding a steaming cup of fine coffee, and you're watching the big snow flakes piling up on the ground. There is no work for you today, everything is closed due to the holiday winter weather.

List of Life Goals

As you're sitting there, all warm and relaxed thinking what a great year it has been, you remember a list of life goals that you've written down about a year ago from today. You become so curious that you start searching through your old binders and journal looking for your goal sheet.

After a few moments of digging, you come across a page titled, “My List of Life Goals.” You notice that you've written about 100 lifetime goals and think, “Did I complete any of these? Nah, I couldn't have, I wrote these goals down then didn't look at them until now.”

However, to your surprise, you've achieve about 7 goals from your list! “Holy Jesus!”, you said. “How did this happen? All I did was write them down?”

Isn't it amazing on how powerful writing your list of life goals can be? Would you like to know how to create your own list of life goals? How many do you want---10, 20, 30, or 100 lifetime goals?

Years ago, I was introduced to the power of smart goals and I created a list of life goals just for fun. I wrote them down, tucked them away, and forgot about them for awhile.

About six months later, I was astonished to find that 2 of them were completed and achieved!

How did this happen? What mystical powers are at work here? Is it really that easy? It's called abiding by the laws of the Universe to achieve your list of life goals.

There are 7 laws of the Universe operating in our lives every second of the day. These laws may seem mysterious to some, but I believe in these laws so boldly that I created and dedicated a 7 part series located at---the laws of the Universe.

About five years ago, I was advised to just write down a list of life goals of things I wanted to achieve. That's it, just write them down, forget about them, and check the list every month or so.

The first time I did this I forgot about them for six months and when I checked my list of life goals, I magically accomplished two of them. I don't even remember focusing on any of those list of life goals. I just wrote them down, reviewed them for a few minutes, then just let that list go.

My accomplishments made me wonder. What would happen if I gave attention to this list every month?

So, I edited my list of life goals to make them more detailed and I got in the habit of reviewing that list every 30 days to see my results.

Here is what I discovered:

  • When you become clear on exactly what you want in life, a powerful magnet becomes present inside of you and attracts the thing you desire into your experience.
  • Writing your list of life goals is an act of clarity. When you write something, you have to be clear in order to communicate that message effectively.
  • Keeping a journal for my goals has been the most powerful way to measure my results and communicate with my unconscious mind.

The act of writing your goals creates a line of communication to your unconscious mind. Once that's established, the unconscious mind begins finding ways to complete the assigned task.

Picture the unconscious mind like an automatic reward machine that will give you anything you instruct to it. All you have to do is write out the instructions and the unconscious mind will eventually give you the experience of what you wrote.

You don't need to know how the unconscious mind works. Just like you don't need to know how electricity works to produce light in your home. All you need to know is how to flip the switch, so the light turns on.

The sames goes with writing your list of life goals. All you need to know is how to write your lifetime goals, so you flip the switch on to your unconscious mind.

However, if you're like me and need more information about the unconscious mind, thankfully, I have this covered and wrote about the unconscious mind (click that link).

How to Create Your List of Life Goals in less than 20 mins.?

When you're done creating your list of life goals, you'll be holding a piece of paper numbered 1-30, 40, or 100 and a goal next to each number. It's that easy!

However, there are so many choices. How do you ever decide what you want to achieve and then arrange your list of life goals in order of importance? Well, let me show you how and all you need is 20 mins. or less.

  1. You have to begin thinking in terms of what you want, verses your old way of thinking in what you don't want. Here is how you do this:
    • Get a piece of loose leaf paper and fold it in half so a vertical line runs down the center of the page.
    • Next, in the left column on the top line, write down “I don't want”. In the right column on the top line, write down “I want”.
    • Now, in the left column write down everything that you “don't want” to have, do, or become.
    • Then, in the right column write down the exact opposite of what you wrote in the “I don't want” column.
    • Finally, cut the paper in half along the vertical creased line and throw away the “I don't want” column.

All you should have now is the “I want” column in your hand. From here on out, you are only going to think about what you “want” in life.

For example, my “I don't want” column may read something like this:

    1. I don't want to be broke.
    2. I don't want to be fat.
    3. I don't want to work hard for someone.
    4. I don't want to be average.
    5. I don't want a girlfriend that uses me.
    6. I don't want to live in the city anymore.

Do you get the picture for the “I don't wants”?

Now, an example of my “What I want” column may look something like this:

    1. I want to be financially free and secure.
    2. I want to weigh 195 lbs and have a flat stomach.
    3. I want to own my own business.
    4. I want to make an impact in this world.
    5. I want a girlfriend who is fun, loving, loyal, and lives in the same city as me.
    6. I want to live in the city of Boston.

Make this list as long as you'd like. The idea behind this exercise is to get your mind thinking in terms of what you do want to create in life. Now that you have an idea of what you want in life, let's go on to step number two and get a concrete and detailed list of what you want to achieve.

  2. What do you want to be, do, and have? Those are the three categories that you operate in daily. You are always being someone, doing something, and having what you want or don't want.

So, let's figure out exactly what you want to be, do, and have in life and let's order them in most importance to least importance.

    • Please open up your favorite text editor or journal. Whether it's Microsoft Word, Notepad, or iWork, it's all the same. On the very top line of the page, type “I want to Be...” Then, press “enter” to go to the next line and type the number 1, then next line number 2, next line number 3, and so on all the way to 15.

Now, I want you to think of 15 specific things that you want to “be” before you pass on in this lifetime. I mean, something that really lights you up and gets you going. For example, maybe you want to be a millionaire, an entrepreneur, a loving husband or wife, a great lover, a writer, a professional speaker, or a world wide leader. The possibilities are endless. Brainstorm and write now.

    • Next, skip a line after the number 15 in your “I want to Be” section and type “I want to Do” in the space given. Do the same things as above, type in 1-15 so each number is on it's own line. Now, think of 15 things you absolutely have to do in your lifetime before you pass on. For example, do you want to do real estate, public speaking, sell guitars, tour the world, create an online business, professional football, or do personal growth. Again, the possibilities are endless. Brainstorm and write now.
    • Finally, skip a line after the number 15 in your“I want to Do” section and type “I want to Have” in the space given. Do the same thing as above, type in 1-15 so each number is on it's own line. Now, think of 15 things you absolutely must have in your lifetime before you pass on. Is it that beautiful home in California that you've always wanted? How about that Rolls Royce with suicide doors? Or, must you have that sail boat to go out on the Pacific Ocean off your beach house in Hawaii. Type your thoughts now.

All finished? Great! Now here is what you're going to do. I want you to print out that page and grab a pencil.

Under your “Be, Do, and Have” categories, you are going to categorize in groups of 5 using A, B, and C. “A” signifies the most important group to you, “B” is next in line for importance, and “C” is least important to you.

So, under “I want to Be”, you are going to have three groups of 5 numbers categorized as A, B, and C. Same goes with “what I want to Do” and “what I want to Have.”

    O.K Here you go...

Under each heading “Be, Do, and Have”, write an “A” next to the 5 numbers that are most important to you, then write a “B” next to the 5 numbers for next importance, then label the remaining 5 numbers with C's. Do this for the three headings you have listed, “Be, Do, and Have.”

  3. Finally, you're now going to create your list of life goals. Currently, I have 30 lifetime goals. The reason for that is because my lifetime goals are so wicked challenging to accomplish that I didn't want to feel overwhelmed. Therefore, I decided on only 30 lifetime.

The number of lifetime goals is totally up to you. You can have 15 lifetime goals, 30 lifetime goals, or 100 lifetime goals. The choice is yours! So, let's finish up here and get your list of life goals.

    • O.k., I promise this is your last sheet of loose leaf paper that you have to get out. Please get that out now.
    • Looking at all of your “A's” from your previous exercise sheet, write down in order of importance, 1-15, all of your “A's”. You'll have a good mix of “Be, Do, and Have” listed here.
    • Then, starting on number 16, write down in order of importance, 16-30, all of the “B's” you have listed.
    • Finally, starting on number 31, write down in order of importance, 31-45, all of the “C's” that you have listed.

Feel free to add on or cut down on some of the “A's, B's, and C's” if you thought of more goals you want to accomplish or eliminate. As I said before, I have 30 lifetime goals and if you feel the need for 100 lifetime goals, please go ahead and do that.

Recap...

There you have it! You now have a practical way for creating purpose, adventure, love, and fun into your life. I have found that just writing down a list of goals that you want is something 97 percent of the people in this world refuse to do. I have also found that writing out your goals, wants, and desires almost magically become completed on their own.

It's not luck my friends, it is exact universal law. Try your own list of life goals and watch the magic happen in your life.
