How to Stay Stuck in Life
I've been traveling a lot lately and I actually wrote this article in the Philadelphia Airport. I had about a two hour lay-over and I felt inspired to write about an experience I just had here. It was about 9:30 am and I just got off my flight and I had about 2 hours to kill. I haven't eaten breakfast yet, so I was in search for a healthy, high energy meal. As I was browsing and walking the crowded terminal halls, a thought sprang into my head wondering if Philadelphia had any good organic coffee or espresso. I enjoy a great organic coffee or espresso every once in awhile. Actually, organic espresso has better health value out of any coffee because it's an alkaline base rather than acidic. Anyways, as I was walking in terminal D's hallway, I found a quaint and luxury looking coffee shop. I decided to stop there because if I had any chance of finding organic, it would of been at that coffee shop. So, I walked up to the menu looking at the drinks column and didn't find anything labeled “organic”. I then drew my attention to the three young fellows working there and they all happened to be staring at me in a very unpleasant manner. Their arms were crossed, their weight was shifted onto one leg, and they each had a look of impatience as if they couldn't wait to get out of work. They all looked beaten, like life got the best of them that morning, and I could read their minds and energies that were saying, “This sucks, I hate this job, what does this person want?” I'm telling you, the energy at that work environment was cold, angry, and depressing. I almost walked away after I arrived because things just didn't feel right. Nonetheless, I was on a quest for something organic and if I had any chance this would be the place. I asked them, “Do you happen to have any organic coffees?” One of the workers there replied, “Organic! I don't know, what's organic?” Right there and then I knew organic was never going to be found on that menu. Then, the gentlemen called one of his worker friends over and said, “ We got anything organic here?” The worker friend replied, “Shiiit man, what's organic? We got non of that. I don't know, check those boxes over there, maybe something organic in that basket.” Now, their tone of voice was, “Why the hell are you bothering me” kind of attitude. Feeling that attitude from those workers made me want to say, “You know what, if you're unhappy, do yourself and myself a favor and quit. Because all you're doing is cheating yourself.” I didn't say that and I didn't even bother to look in the basket for organic coffee. I just said good day and turned around and left.
Breaking FreeAs I was walking to my gate, I was inspired with the idea of this article your reading, “How to stay stuck in life” and learned something valuable that I want to share with you. If you're not getting what you want in life, it's nobody's fault but yours. Those workers at the airport coffee shop choose that job, nobody forced them to work there. If they wanted too, those workers could of worked at a place more fulfilling that aligns with their purpose. My guess is, they never took the time to even discover what they might like and apply it to their life. I'm not here to judge, I just want to push you so you grow. But seriously, how many people go through life working to just pay the bills or earn money? It doesn't have to be like that. All it takes is some conscious effort to “Know thy self.” Instead, what most people do is cheat themselves, others, and the Universe. The workers are cheating themselves because they're living a life they don't want. Most likely, they are creating their life unconsciously and just don't know any better. What they could do is start paying attention to their emotions. Pay attention to the activities, books, circumstances, movies, etc that moves you. When you're emotional involved in something, what does that say about you? When I watch the movie Seabiscuit, I'm always in tears by the end of the movie. I paid attention to those emotions and what I ended up discovering was part of my purpose is to give hope to others. So, I consciously found activities and a business that would give hope to others. I wish I had some business cards on me or I would of gave it to them hoping they would read an article or two of mine. And, I wanted to say something inspiring but their attitude was so cold I just wanted out of there. Plus, they probably would of laughed at me (which is o.k. I've been there before). Secondly, the workers are cheating others. Why should I be subjected to their negative junk and “woe as me attitude” just because I wanted a cup of coffee? Also, their constant negative energy was emanating into everything they did there. I don't need that energy in my drink! When I was there for the short five minutes, it felt like a dementor from Harry Potter was hovering over me sucking the happiness right out of my soul. I wish I had my magic wand to use the patronus spell :) Finally, the workers are cheating the Universe. Their paycheck is coming from Spirit. Did that last sentence raise a brow? Read the laws of the universe series and how to achieve financial freedom article for that explanation. Since they are drawing resources from the Universe it would be cheating if they weren't giving equal or greater value in return. However, this doesn't go unseen. The Universe always gives you back in multiplied amounts the exact energy you give it----that is how you stay stuck or how you become free! So, what type of energy are you giving the Universe? Is your attitude a Victim mentality---You know, the “Life sucks, it's the governments fault, this person screwed me, I'm no good, this world is wrong, this world is evil” kind of attitude. Those coffee shop workers will never be happy and have a more fulfilling career unless they shift their attitude. Once they start playing full on in their services, they will outgrow their position and the Universe has no choice but to reward them. The same goes with you! Are you happy with your life? Are you happy with your job, career, and/or business? Are you giving 100% in the current service that you provide? If you ever want to move forward in life, you must play full on right where you are with whatever you got. When you start doing that, you'll out-grow your current position and I guarantee the Universe will grant you with bigger opportunities. Even if you have the worst boss in the world or work for a company that does not value their employees, I know from experience that your efforts will not go unseen. Another job will come your way, an idea for a great business, or even a promotion in that company will come. If you stay open to receiving that goodness (which means knowing that your worthy), you'll successfully leap into a bigger game, a more fulfilling position, and more money. Observe the laws of growth in nature. Nature is constantly progressing and growing. I mean, look at how much more information, people, and technology we have today compared to 1940. It really is amazing! The world is growing at an ever increasing pace and since we are part of this Universe, we are growing, too. However, we are gifted entities. We have the ability to decide and choose what we want. An oak tree has no choice but to be an oak tree. We can be whatever we choose. Knowing that....The law of growth states that you are either growing or dying. You grow by choosing to become conscious and create your life. You grow by playing full on where ever you are with what ever you got. Likewise, you begin dying when you have no purpose in life and don't play full on. You probably won't die tomorrow, but it's truth that if you are not immersing yourself in that which provides you value (In all areas of your life), you slowly begin to decrease and whither away. Think about this for a moment. If you're constantly stuffing your face with doughnuts, pepsi, mindless TV, and unhappiness are you going to grow? I don't think so. However, if you're feeding yourself inspiring news, great books, inspiring TV, connecting with others, following your purpose, becoming happy, and giving 100% of yourself are you going to grow? Absolutely! Just by reading this article shows me and should tell you that you're growing. Part of my purpose in life is to help others understand themselves and grow. I think that's why I'm so inspired and excited writing this article. Begin today and start turning your life around. Play full on where ever you are with what ever you got. Even if you hate your career, job, boss, mate, etc. Change your attitude and give 100% of yourself. When you start doing so and really prove to the Universe that you're serious, you'll be rewarded. Just stay open to receive and wait for the magic.
