Form Great Goals....Enjoy Great Results!
Great goals are formed by your creative imagination and are intended to stretch your level of being. Whatever the goal may be, financial or relational, the goal has to promote spiritual growth for you to become a bigger person. If one of your life goals is to become a millionaire, you better expect to handle a millionaire's daily challenges. Donald Trump probably owns a quarter of New York City, wouldn't that be cool? Well, yes and no. Who do you think has more real estate problems, you or Donald Trump? Becoming a millionaire is a great goal, but you have to understand that along with the million dollars comes a million more challenges. This is why your goals have to stretch you spiritually every day. Becoming a bigger person each time you accomplish a goal enables you to handle greater success, wealth, and more challenges. Why do you think lottery winners lose all of their money soon after it was just received? Because, they were not big enough people to handle the amount of money that was gifted to them. Being on the journey of conquering goal after goal makes you come alive and be on purpose. Remember not to give away your power and only seek your own council. You don't need anyone else's approval, only you know what is best for yourself. Make your goals unique and tailored to what you want. Try not to fall into the trap of using someone else's goal or what they want you to go after. You'll find this most common in parents determining what is best for their kids. A lot of times, what parents think their kids should achieve or go after, is what their parents want for themselves, not what their kids want. Great goals are created from with-in and address all areas of your life: financial, relationships, physical, mental and spiritual. For the purpose of this site, we are going to talk specifically on great financial goals.
Great GoalsEarning lots of money and creating financial wealth is a great goal. It's a goal everyone should pursue through out their lifetime. We are all born rich and are meant to become rich. If you see one person doing or having what you want, know that you can have the same, or even better. We are all born with the same infinite potential. Everything you see is meant for us to have. It's just a matter of deciding whether we want it or not. You have to decide, right now, that you want to become financially wealthy. Becoming financially wealthy may mean one thing to you, but different for someone else. This is why in the above paragraphs I stress the importance of having your own, unique goals. Financial wealth to you may not be earning a million dollars or more. Either way, you can become financially free and not earn a million dollars a year. So, to have the financial wealth you desire you have to get really specific on the amount of money you want. Saying, “I want more money” doesn't cut it. Five dollars more is more money. What exact income figure do you want to see in your bank account? Write down what you want to earn this year, five years from now, and ten years from now. Write down what you want to earn, not what you think you can. To write these great goals successfully, read my article on
how to set goals.
Next, great goals address your dream financial net worth. What financial net worth do you want to achieve in your lifetime, so you become financially free? Your financial net worth is your income, assets, royalties, and anything that earns you money, added up, then subtracted by all your expenses and debts. When you come to an income figure and financial net worth goal, the creative process has begun, and you are now attracting those amounts into your life as we speak. Keep visualizing what your life will be like in possession of your goals. See yourself experiencing the rewards to the fullest effect possible.
Great Goals Are Backed With PlansSitting on the couch and wishing for a million dollars to drop into your lap just won't happen. You'll be out on the curb wishing you had your home back. Behind every goal and intention has to be action. If you are not taking any action steps and following a plan, nothing will ever physically materialize for you. Now that you have your income goal, what service are you going to give in return for the amount of money you want to receive? Even if you don't like where you are right now, the job you have or home you live in, what action plans can you set in motion to where you want to be? If you start, right now, to give 110% in your present career, magically the flood gates of money will open to you. Then, you will find yourself outgrowing your position, and a bigger and better opportunity will present itself to you. A lot of people wish for more money and a better career, but are not willing to pay the price to get there. They have their income goals and lofty vision, which is good and necessary, but they're currently providing below average value and complaining how bad they have it at their job. If this is you, it's ok, we have all been there. My answer to you is quit and do something else or saddle up and start providing 10 times the value than what your service is worth. Once you begin providing value where you're currently at, the universe will bless you. What if you have plans, you start working your dreams, then are met with failure? Well, every successful person that you heard of in life has experienced failure. Did you know Walt Disney was fired from a job for not being creative enough and was met with bankruptcy at least twice? Did you know Donald Trump filed for bankruptcy owing over a Billion Dollars of debt? How did these two individuals bounce back to become world wide successes? Besides being resilient, they knew it was not them that were failures, it was their plans. When you have your path clearly defined, everything is working for you to accomplish your vision and goals. How could anyone know success without meeting failure? When your plans fail, adjust them, and get right back going! If you're wallowing in self pity because of your failure, ask yourself, “What good is in this situation if I really wanted it to be?” There's at least one thing I always find and that's how not to do something the next time. There is always a learning experience when you are met with temporary failure. Winners never quit and quitters never win!
